Dr. Amy Pitschneider

Associate Veterinarian

Like most, Dr. Pitschneider grew up dreaming about becoming a veterinarian. Throughout her childhood, she had many exposures to a variety of animals ranging from livestock to wildlife to her household pets that she adored. Her natural admiration for animals, in combination with her fascination of biology, lead Dr. Pitschneider to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Pitschneider was born and raised in Minnesota. She did not venture far for her undergraduate training as she attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Here, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Shortly after graduating, Dr. Pitschneider moved into Bucky territory where she attended UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.

Although she finds the entirety of veterinary medicine interesting, surgery, dermatology, and anesthesiology are some of Dr. Pitschneider’s special interests. Most importantly, Dr. Pitschneider loves meeting new patients, educating owners, and making sure our furry friends stay happy and healthy!

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Pitschneider enjoys camping, hiking, exploring new restaurants, and snowboarding (her family goes out to Whitefish, MT every year!). She currently has one spoiled cat named Pip, and a family dog named Kia.
