Fluffy’s Cutest Holiday Traditions

Happy Holidays! This is a pretty fun time of year for our feline friends. Fluffy is often at her cutest during the holidays! Here, a Lakeville, MN vet lists some adorable things your cat will do during the holiday.

Play With A New Toy

Fluffy definitely deserves a few gifts of her own. Get Fluffy some fun toys to play with. Remember to snap a few cute pictures of your kitty pouncing on her new playthings.

Sleep On Visitors

If your feline pal is bold and friendly, she may see visitors as extra laps to snuggle up on. Of course, if your kitty is more timid, she may hide when the doorbell rings. That’s okay, too!

Attack The Tree

You really can’t blame Fluffy for getting excited about those beautifully-decorated trees. In the wild, trees offer cats scratching posts, napping spots, and, of course, manicure stations. Naturally, when a tree pops up in the middle of your pet’s domain, hung with what looks a lot like cat toys, your furball is going to be very interested in it. Choose unbreakable ornaments, and get a tree with a sturdy base, so it won’t wobble or topple over.

Sleep Under The Tree

Your furball may very well curl up beneath the tree for a nap. (We suspect that Fluffy knows she’s a gift.)

Supervise

Cats like to watch their humans carefully. Fluffy will no doubt keep a close eye on you as you prepare for seasonal events and festivities!

Help The Humans

Fluffy may very well try to lend a ‘helping’ paw around the house. It isn’t always easy to wrap gifts or change sheets with a cat around, but it is much more fun.

Beg

Although Fido is the champion beggar among our furry companions, Fluffy is no slouch, either. Your kitty may meow, follow you around, or rub against your legs trying to get you to share your food. Offer your furball something that is safe for her. Plain, cooked, boneless meat, fish, or poultry is always a good option.

Steal Boxes

When everyone has finished opening their gifts, Fluffy may very well claim some of those empty boxes for her own. Cats just can’t resist boxes!

Season’s Greetings from all of us here at Burnsville Parkway Animal Hospital, your Lakeville, MN vet clinic. We hope you all have a wonderful, safe, and happy holiday season!
