Dr. Tim Rozendaal
Medical Director / DVM
Growing up in a small town in northwestern Indiana, Dr. Tim Rozendaal was surrounded by the family pets at an early age. He remembers caring for everything from dogs and cats to hamsters, lizards, and a flying squirrel! His lifelong love for animals has come full circle—Dr. Rozendaal is proud to put his passion to good use every day as one of the hospital’s Associate Veterinarians.
Dr. Rozendaal earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University, then began working as a Veterinary Technician at a local animal hospital for two years before applying to veterinary school. He studied veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota, graduating with his Doctorate in 2015, before launching his career in private practice.
Here at the clinic, Dr. Rozendaal has special interests in dentistry work and surgery; he loves the way he’s able to pinpoint a specific problem and set about fixing it. He’s also fond of the unique challenges of internal medicine. Most of all, Dr. Rozendaal enjoys getting to meet a wide variety of animal—and human!—personalities on a daily basis.
When time permits away from work, Dr. Rozendaal can be found camping, canoeing, hiking, and fishing in the great outdoors, working on DIY projects around the house, and enjoying the company of his family and pets at home. He and his wife, Lizzy, live in St. Paul with their daughter, Ada, and three pets. The family shares their lives with two cats, Ben and Zoe, as well as a rambunctious Black Labrador named Olie.
